India Independence Day Celebration by Auckland Indian Diaspora
The Auckland Indian Diaspora celebrated India’s Independence Day on 18th August with a vibrant event that showcased the rich cultural diversity of India. The celebration featured a series of performances representing various states of India, highlighting the country’s unity in diversity.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon, Indian High Commissioner Neeta Bhushan, and Indian Consul Bhav Dhillon. Their presence underscored the strong ties between India and New Zealand.
In addition to the special guests, the celebration was attended by several MPs from the National Party, ACT Party, and Labour Party, reflecting the wide-ranging support and recognition of the Indian community’s contributions to New Zealand society.
